Alhamdulillah… barusan mendapatkan email dari tim pengembang Urbi. Oya, Urbi ini adalah salah satu platform yang biasa digunakan dalam pengembangan robotika. Tak sabar menanti Mei 2010 ketika Urbi telah benar-benar dirilis sebagai software open source.

Urbi is going Open Source!

Gostai has a big announcement to make today! Urbi, the universal software platform
for robotics is officially going open source, with a release date scheduled for May,
2010. This is a move that we have been waiting for a long time, and the decision is
now finally taken. We wanted to let you know as soon as possible, because it might
have a profound effect on how you imagine using and contributing to Urbi.

The license will be a GPL compatible license. There are still several candidates
that we are reviewing. In practice, it means that Urbi will be compatible with the
GNU GPL.
